Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

At Feeling Herd Ltd., the wellbeing of our participants, families, staff and animals is at the heart of everything we do. These Terms & Conditions set out the basic expectations for anyone using our services.

Bookings & Payment

Bookings are confirmed once agreed with Feeling Herd and, where applicable, payment or a deposit has been received. Fees will be communicated at the time of booking.

Payment must be made within the agreed timeframe. Specific services, such as clinics or livery, may have additional terms which will be provided separately.

Cancellations

We understand that circumstances can change. Cancellation requirements will be communicated when you book.

Late cancellations and non-attendance may be charged at the full session rate. Where possible, we will try to rearrange sessions when appropriate.

Feeling Herd may need to cancel or rearrange a session due to illness, severe weather, animal welfare, safety concerns or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Participant Responsibilities

Everyone using Feeling Herd is expected to:

  • Follow reasonable instructions from staff.

  • Follow health and safety requirements.

  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear.

  • Treat staff, participants, visitors and animals with respect.

  • Provide relevant information needed to support safe participation.

  • Respect the privacy of others.

Parents and carers are responsible for providing accurate information about children and young people and supporting any arrangements agreed with Feeling Herd.

Health, Safety & Safeguarding

Participants should let us know about any relevant medical, physical, sensory, communication or additional needs that may affect their safe participation.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable individuals. Concerns relating to safeguarding will be managed in accordance with our Safeguarding Policy and may need to be shared with appropriate professionals where necessary.

Horse-related activities carry inherent risks, including falls, kicks, bites and other injuries. Participants must follow staff instructions and safety guidance at all times.

Animal Welfare

Animal welfare is at the centre of everything we do.

We will always consider the physical and emotional wellbeing of our horses and other animals. Activities may be adapted, paused or stopped if an animal is showing signs of stress, pain, illness, fatigue or discomfort.

The welfare of the animal will always take priority over completing an activity or achieving a particular outcome.

Participants must handle animals respectfully and follow staff guidance at all times.

Behaviour & Respect

Feeling Herd is a supportive, inclusive environment. We do not tolerate bullying, discrimination, harassment, threatening behaviour, intimidation or deliberate mistreatment of animals.

We reserve the right to pause or end a service where behaviour creates a significant risk to people, animals or property.

Photography & Social Media

Photography and video may take place during activities. Where identifiable images are intended for promotional or public use, appropriate consent will be obtained.

Please do not photograph, record or share images or personal information relating to other participants without their permission.

Confidentiality & Data Protection

We respect the privacy of our participants and families. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements and our Privacy Policy.

Information may need to be shared where consent has been provided, where there is a safeguarding or serious safety concern, in an emergency or where we are legally required to do so.

Feedback, Compliments & Complaints

We welcome feedback, compliments, suggestions and complaints. Your feedback helps us recognise what we are doing well and identify areas where we can improve.

Concerns and complaints will be handled fairly and sensitively in accordance with our Compliments and Complaints Policy.

Liability

We take reasonable steps to manage foreseeable risks and maintain a safe environment. However, working with horses and other animals carries inherent risks.

Participants must follow all safety instructions and provide accurate information relevant to their participation.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Changes & Additional Terms

Feeling Herd may make reasonable changes to services, facilities or procedures where necessary for safety, welfare or operational reasons.

Some services, including livery, clinics and specific programmes, may have additional terms which will be provided separately.

Acceptance

By booking or participating in a Feeling Herd service, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read and understand these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them.

Our full Terms & Conditions and relevant policies are available on request.
