Our schooling and training livery at Feeling Herd is designed for owners who want thoughtful, consistent support in developing their horse, while keeping the horse’s well-being, understanding, and confidence at the centre of the process.

Each horse on training livery is treated as an individual.

Whether you have a young horse needing correct, calm foundations, a horse working through behavioural or confidence-related challenges, or a partnership aiming to improve way of going, balance, and performance, programmes are carefully tailored to suit the horse’s needs and your long-term goals.

Training may include a combination of groundwork, flatwork, polework, and horsemanship, depending on what will best support the horse at that stage. Our holistic approach considers the whole horse - mentally, physically, and emotionally - ensuring progress is built through understanding rather than pressure.

For those with competition aspirations, we can also offer support at competitions, whether that means taking horses to events on your behalf or supporting you and your horse from the sidelines. From warm-ups to calm reassurance on the day, our aim is to help both horse and rider feel prepared, confident, and supported. We believe competition success is a team effort, and we’re proud to be part of that team with you.

Clear communication with owners is a key part of training livery. Regular updates are provided, along with exercises and guidance so you can continue the work confidently when you’re with your horse. Owners are encouraged to stay involved throughout the process, creating consistency and continuity between training and home.
